Handles and locks
This is the most common fault on windows and doors, but they are also easily fixable. We can upgrade your worn handles for something more modern and stylish.
Replacing your worn locks is fundamental as it keeps your home secure.
Hinges
Window hinges can fail at any time and when they do you will notice that the window does not pull in tight on the hinge side and a gap can develop. This in turn will let in draught and will only get worse, causing you to lose heat from your home.
Sash Window and Single Glazing
We also repair old Victorian style sash windows, whether that be replacing the glass, sash cord or replacing the ironmongery.
Rubber seals and Draught Proofing.
The rubber seals on your windows are there to keep the draught out. Once you have locked your windows it compresses onto these and allows no air through. If you notice that the seal is missing or has gone brittle it is probably a good idea to have them replaced.
